Hello everyone!
The first few days of our trip are now over! We are currently in Singapore airport waiting for our flight to Hong Kong. After a rushed start to our trip in Sydney (We were on stand-by but managed to get on the original flight and then had to rush through customs etc,) our plane was then delayed for 1.5hours!!! We finally got to Singapore and were hit immediately by the heat! Its extreme over here and you feel like you are constantly sweating...! yuk!
Anyway, Sinapore is a fantastic city! It is a shoppers heaven, there are shopping centres and arcades everywhere. Eating is also a favourite pastime of the Sinaporeans and therefore Jay and I have been feeling right at home. We have been having a good feed for around $3SGD which is about $A1.50 or thereabouts! The food is soo tasty! We also saw lots of Singapore by testing their public transport system which is again very cheap, we could travel on the bus for around $1.50SGD and get most places in the city. We went to the tourist places such as Sentosa island, Orchard Street, the botanical gardens and Raffles hotel.
You feel quite at home over here due to the mix of cultures, there are obvious american & english influences over here as there are stores such as gap and marks and spencer and there is even the good ole australina howards storage world!
We also caught up with Jasons cousins Sal and Dino and their new baby alexander!

We went out for dinner at their seafood precinct, and the food was delish! It looks out over the ocean and watches all the ships coming into shore, it looks like a city on the ocean, as there are sooo many lights! I do hope to post some pictures when I work out how to do so!!!
